Interface Standards
Matching Transfer Coping
Provide the implant model, and we will match the appropriate standard analog and matching transfer coping for you.
Conventional impression pouring
Using an impression transfer coping, the analog is embedded in the stone model for wax pattern or CAD/CAM design of abutments and frameworks.
Digital model scanning
With a scan body attached, the analog is placed on a desktop scanner to obtain a digital model for virtual seating in design software.
CAD/CAM workflow
3D-printed model use
The analog is fixed into pre‑formed holes of the 3D‑printed model to enable high‑precision try‑in of restorations.
Supports any step from conventional impressions to fully digital workflows – an essential accessory for lab digital upgrades.
Laboratory Procedure
※ The analog is reusable, but should be cleaned and inspected for wear after each use.
“The analog interface accuracy is indistinguishable from the original. Our entire digital scanning workflow is seamless, with no overfitting deviations observed.”
– A digital dental center in Shenzhen
“We purchase analogs in bulk for 3D‑printed models. The quality is consistent, the price is more competitive than the original, and it significantly reduces our costs.”
– A dental lab in Shanghai
Free digital analog sample kit (including 2–3 commonly used sizes) and CAD design library access – exclusive for dental labs.
Intraoral scan data was imported into Exocad, and the KT digital analog model was called from the CAD library to design a custom abutment. The CAM‑milled abutment was tried in on a 3D‑printed model, achieving passive fit, and was successfully seated intraorally.
CAD/CAM · Zero deviation
The lab processes 20+ scanned models daily. Using KT analogs with scan bodies, the desktop scanner automatically identifies implant positions – no manual marking required. Efficiency improved by 50%, with zero positioning errors.
Model scanning · Efficient recognition
What is the difference between a digital analog and a standard analog?
The digital analog features an upper interface design that ensures stable retention of scan bodies/transfer copings and incorporates features for scanner recognition. Critical dimensions are 100% inspected by a vision measurement system, guaranteeing absolute model data accuracy when paired with scan bodies. A standard analog may only satisfy conventional impression workflows and may not be compatible with scan bodies.
Can the analog be reused? How should it be cleaned?
Stainless steel and aluminum alloy analogs can be reused (up to 20 times recommended). After each use, clean with an ultrasonic cleaner and enzymatic cleaning solution, taking care to avoid thread damage. PEEK analogs are recommended for single use.
What is the recommended torque for the analog central screw?
Recommended torque is 25–35 N·cm to simulate clinical loading conditions. However, repeated tightening may cause thread wear; it is recommended to replace the screw every 5 uses.
Do you provide a dedicated fixing base for 3D‑printed models?
Yes. We can provide a positioning base that matches the bottom of the analog, which can be embedded in 3D‑printed models with pre‑placed threaded sleeves for easy and quick installation of the analog.
Can it be used for implant simulation in guide design?
Yes. The external contour of the analog is similar to the implant shape and can be used in dental design software to simulate implant position, assisting in surgical guide design.
