Are these scan bodies designed for implant-level scanning?
Yes. Both models are implant-level scan bodies that connect directly to their corresponding implant interfaces. They are used to transfer the implant position, angulation and rotational orientation into the digital restorative workflow.
Is a CAD library available for both models?
Why does your scan body look different from the original ICX® scan body?
We are an independent third-party manufacturer of implant components. As we independently design the geometry of our scan bodies, their shape does not need to be identical to that of the original ICX® scan bodies.
We provide the corresponding CAD libraries to enable laboratories to identify the scan body geometry for digital design. The connection interfaces are manufactured to fit Ø3.3 mm and Ø4.1 mm implant connection specifications. Before proceeding with the design, dental laboratories must ensure compatibility among the scan body model, implant connection specifications, CAD library, and restorative components.
Can it be used for both intraoral and model scanning?
The scan body can be used in compatible intraoral and laboratory model-scanning workflows. For intraoral scanning, it is connected directly to the implant in the patient’s mouth. For model scanning, it is connected to the corresponding implant analog in the working model. Compatibility should be confirmed according to the selected scan body reference, scanner and CAD library.
What information should I provide before ordering?
To help us identify the correct scan body, please provide the following information:
1.Implant brand and series;
2.Restorative connection type: ACM-R or ACM-M;
3.Specific specifications of the required components;
4.Quantity required;
Alternatively, you can discuss the details once our technical staff contacts you.
