Is this scan body designed for implant-level scanning?
Yes. This scan body range is designed for implant-level scanning and connects directly to the corresponding implant interface. It records the three-dimensional position, angulation and rotational orientation of the implant for CAD/CAM restoration design. If your case requires abutment-level or Multi-Unit Abutment-level scanning, please contact us to select a different scan body.
Is a CAD library available for each platform?
Why does your scan body look different from the original Straumann® scan body?
As an independent third-party implant component manufacturer, we use our own scan body geometry, so its external shape does not need to be identical to that of the original Straumann® scan body. During scanning, the geometry is recognized through the corresponding CAD library, while the connection interface is manufactured and inspected for the specified NC, RC, RN or RB platform. The scan body reference, implant platform, CAD library and restorative component must be correctly matched before use.
Can it be used for both intraoral and model scanning?
The scan body can be used in compatible intraoral and laboratory model-scanning workflows. For intraoral scanning, it is connected directly to the implant in the patient’s mouth. For model scanning, it is connected to the corresponding implant analog in the working model. Compatibility should be confirmed according to the selected scan body reference, scanner and CAD library.
What information should I provide before ordering?
To help us identify the correct scan body, please provide the following information:
1.Implant brand and series;
2.Restorative connection type: NC, RC, RN, or RB;
3.Specific specifications of the required components;
4.Quantity required;
Alternatively, you can discuss the details once our technical staff contacts you.
