An Impression Coping (also known as an Impression Post) is a precision component used to transfer the exact three-dimensional position, angle, and depth of a dental implant from the patient's mouth to a working model. It connects to the implant during the impression procedure and becomes the reference geometry captured in the impression material, ensuring that the final restoration fits accurately and passively.Closed Tray (Transfer Type): The coping stays in the mouth after impression removal and is manually repositioned into the impression. This method is simpler and faster, though slightly less accurate than open tray.
