Product Overview

Zirconia all‑ceramic crown – A full‑resin crown fabricated from medical‑grade high‑strength composite resin‑ceramic material (Ceromer) via CAD/CAM milling or traditional hand layering. It combines the toughness of composite resin with the esthetic properties of ceramic, closely mimicking natural teeth in color, translucency, and surface texture. It is indicated for single anterior tooth esthetic restorations, inlays/onlays, and fixed restorations for patients with metal allergies, particularly suitable for cases with moderate esthetic demands and concerns about ceramic brittleness.

Zirconia all‑ceramic crown

Medical‑Grade High‑Translucency Zirconia, CAD/CAM Milled, Compatible with Anterior/Posterior Crown/Bridge & Implant‑Supported Restoration

Superior Aesthetics

excellent translucency and multi‑layered shade effects

With layered veneering porcelain, it delivers lifelike natural tooth appearance, without the light blockage caused by a metal substructure.

CAD/CAM Precision

Marginal fit ≤25 μm

High‑precision CNC machining ensures a marginal fit of ≤25 μm, effectively preventing microleakage and secondary caries.

Strong Bond with Veneering Porcelain

The surface is treated with sandblasting and silanization, ensuring high bond strength with mainstream veneering porcelains and minimizing the risk of chipping.

Stain Resistance

The dense, smooth surface resists pigment penetration from coffee, tea, and other beverages, maintaining long‑term color stability.

Fabrication Workflow

Tooth preparation
Prepare the abutment following standard all‑ceramic crown preparation guidelines, ensuring a continuous and rounded shoulder margin.
Digital impression
Obtain a digital model via intraoral scanning, or scan the model after a conventional impression.
CAD design
Design the crown morphology in the software, including thickness, path of insertion, and margin contours.
CAM milling
Mill the crown from a pre‑shaded zirconia block using a CNC milling machine.

Sintering
Sinter the milled zirconia crown in a sintering furnace at high temperature (approximately 1500°C) to achieve full density.
Veneering
Apply veneering porcelain in layers and sinter in a furnace.
Try‑in and glazing
Try in the crown intraorally to verify marginal fit and occlusion, make adjustments, then glaze and finish.
Final cementation
Permanently cement the crown using resin cement.

Indications

Single posterior crown restoration (3Y high‑strength type)

All‑ceramic crown in the anterior aesthetic zone (5Y high‑translucency type)
Multi‑unit all‑ceramic fixed bridge (3–5 units, 3Y high‑strength type)
Implant‑supported all‑ceramic restoration
Patients with metal allergies
All‑ceramic restorations requiring both strength and aesthetics

FAQ

What is the difference between a Ceromer crown and a composite resin crown?

They are essentially the same. Ceromer is a technologically upgraded high‑strength composite resin with optimized filler ratio and resin matrix, offering improved strength, wear resistance, and more stable aesthetics. It is an upgraded version of the composite resin crown.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of a Ceromer crown compared to a zirconia all‑ceramic crown?

How long does a Ceromer crown last?

Does the Ceromer crown discolor easily?

Is the Ceromer crown suitable for posterior restorations?
