What is the difference between a digital analog and a standard analog?
The digital analog features an upper interface design that ensures stable retention of scan bodies/transfer copings and incorporates features for scanner recognition. Critical dimensions are 100% inspected by a vision measurement system, guaranteeing absolute model data accuracy when paired with scan bodies. A standard analog may only satisfy conventional impression workflows and may not be compatible with scan bodies.
Can the analog be reused? How should it be cleaned?
Stainless steel and aluminum alloy analogs can be reused (up to 20 times recommended). After each use, clean with an ultrasonic cleaner and enzymatic cleaning solution, taking care to avoid thread damage. PEEK analogs are recommended for single use.
What is the recommended torque for the analog central screw?
Recommended torque is 25ā35 N·cm to simulate clinical loading conditions. However, repeated tightening may cause thread wear; it is recommended to replace the screw every 5 uses.
Do you provide a dedicated fixing base for 3Dāprinted models?
Yes. We can provide a positioning base that matches the bottom of the analog, which can be embedded in 3Dāprinted models with preāplaced threaded sleeves for easy and quick installation of the analog.
Can it be used for implant simulation in guide design?
Yes. The external contour of the analog is similar to the implant shape and can be used in dental design software to simulate implant position, assisting in surgical guide design.
